# Check which numbers are on WhatsApp (/api/checkWhatsappNumbers)

Asks WhatsApp, through one of your WhatsApp devices, whether each number
has an account. Free: it spends no credit and does not count against
your daily limit, but it has its own ceiling of 10 calls a minute per
key.

Answers are shared and kept for 30 days, so a number checked recently
comes back without asking WhatsApp again.

Only a WhatsApp device can check. A Cloud API number cannot.
